At 7:03 PM the monthly meeting was called to order by Vice President, John Hose filling in for Chair Matt Breeding with 52 attending. Prayer was led by Mike Farrell and the Pledge of Allegiance was led by Kaden Snyder. The Club’s Treasurer, John McElroy confirmed the presence of a quorum. The minutes were posted on the website and were also sent to members and Bob Bruchey made a motion to accept the minutes and it was seconded by Patt Young and was approved unanimously. The Treasures Report was reviewed and Pat Leone made a motion to approve the report and it was seconded by Eric Dekenipp and it was approved unanimously. The Club’s Vice President John Hose recognized both the elected officials and candidates for office that were present for the meeting. West Virginia Delegate, Mr. Charles Horst was also recognized. Vice President, John introduced the Guest Speaker, Lee Porter who spoke on “Voter Integrity”. After his presentation, he requested that Walter Charleston, who is an accountant and an attorney and is working with Lee on fraudulent issues. At the end of his presentation, we had a question and answer session and the speaker ended at 8:15 PM John continued with announcements: - Club member Will Kesler was appointed by Chairman Breeding as the Club’s Technology Committee Chairman. Will has taken over management of the Club’s Webpage and Social media platforms. Will has jumped in with both feet and done an outstanding job. He handed out a code to scan by our phone to update our contact information. - Seth thanked everyone for participating in the WCRSS’s LRDD last week. - Cost of Freedom date was changed from May 21st to June 25th at the Hagerstown Elks Club. Tickets are $20.00 for veterans and $25.00 for individuals. - Concealed Carry Weapons Class is coming up on June 25-26 and will be held in Frostburg, MD. The cost for the class is $150.00 per person. - The annual picnic will be held on July 9 , 2022 at the Potomac Fish and Game Club. - Sharpsburg Memorial Day Parade will be held on May 28, 2022. Club Member, Keith Griffiths, the owner of the tractor trailer unit used in our floats for the previous parades is not available. John Hose asked for volunteers to walk in the parade. - NEW Business: - Proposed bylaw amendments that : - Create a Second Vice President of the WCRSC. The intent is to allow the First V. P. to focus on internal club works and the Second V.P. to focus on events outside of the internal working such as coordinating with other Clubs, Local businesses, etc. . - The second proposed amendment creates or codifies the appointment of a Technology Chair as a permanent officer and also provides for the position to serve as the Club’s Public Information Officer. Per the current bylaws, only the Club’s President has the authority to speak officially on behalf of the Club. This amendment grants that authority also to the Techology Chair/PIO. A motion was made by Alan Methany to accept the above and it was seconded by Pat Lione. Then Club member, Seth Wilson reminded everyone that the bylaws require a 30-day waiting period before enactment without a waiver of the bylaws. Alan withdrew the motion and we will vote on it at the next meeting. - President Breeding is working on on securing a license for the campaign app Sidekick” for use of the Club’s Precinct Organization Project. Club member Deb Kline will provide the training to our members on June 20, 2022. A motion was made by Pat Lione to adjourn the meeting and it was seconded by Ethan Loewen and it was adjourned with unanimous consent at 8:50 PM. Washington County PAC AT 8:53 PM, the monthly meeting of the WCRCP was called to order by President, John Hose. A quorum was established and the minutes from the April 2022 meeting was motioned to be passed by Debbie Breeding and was seconded by Jerimy Tindal and it received unanimous consent. The Treasurer’s Report was submitted with a total of $1724.59 in the account and it received unanimous approval. Chairman John Hose resumed the meeting with Revised Candidate Forums: - He presented the Candidate Forums Schedule -June 1, 2022 Candidates for the Sheriff Position (possibly will be held in conjunction with the North American Rod and Gun Club on May 4, 2022) This forum was cancelled. -June 8, 2022 Candidates for the General Assembly – Senate Candidates for District 1 only as the incumbent for District 2 is unopposed & Delegate Candidates from 1C, 2A & 2B -June 15, 2022 Candidates for the Office of Governor/Lt. Governor -June 22, 2022 Candidates for Congressional District 6 The Forums Schedule was approved by Greg Alton and seconded by Will Kesler and there was unanimous approval by the membership. Greg Alton asked why the Sheriffs Forum was cancelled. Matt stated that the candidates preferred not to have a third one. He also said that Brian and Jim said, “If you have it, we will be there”. Do a motion was made by Greg Alton that we reschedule the Forum for Sheriff. It was seconded by Will Kesler and we will be notified when it will be held. -The 50/50 was drawn and $90.45 was awarded to Bob Bruchey and Greg Albert, who left the tickets there when they left and said, “If we win, give the money back to the club”. So the Club received the money. At 9:15 PM the meeting was adjourned by Club Member, Matt Breeding. Next meeting will be held on June 23, 2022.
